Wetumpka gets new drivers license office

The Elmore County driver's license examining office is moving, and at least one resident couldn't be more pleased.
The current location of the facility -- handling driving permits, road tests, driver's license transfers and renewals -- is on 101 East Tallassee Street in Wetumpka.

"We've been in that building for a good many years," said Capt. Randy Byrd, Commander for Driver Licensing of Region C, which includes Montgomery, Opelika, Selma, and Tuscaloosa.
